Can people eat Piranha in Bangladesh?

Piranha is a carnivorous fish that is found in the South American freshwater rivers. Its scientific name is Pygocentrus nattereri. It is found in the Amazon, Paraguay, Paraná, and Essequibo basins, as well as coastal rivers of northeastern Brazil. Its classification is Family: Serrasalmidae Kingdom: Animalia Class: Actinopterygii Phylum: Chordata. 

Can People Eat Piranha In Bangladesh?

We know Piranha is a carnivorous fish like our native fish Boal, Soal, Magur. Carnivorous is not harmful to the human body. For that reason, we can eat Piranha. 

          

Piranhas are edible. They are eaten by the indigenous people of the Amazon. They are considered quite a salty fish, that tastes very fishy, even a little ripe.

These fish are new in Bangladesh. Actually, the new thing is a new experience for all. There are many English movies about Piranhas. In these movies, piranhas are shown a very harmful fish which can eat the human. For that rumor people of Bangladesh are afraid of that fish. They think if they eat it may cause death.
