What is canning? Do you think fish canning industry is required to establish in Bangladesh
Canning is a method of preserving food in which the food contents are processed and sealed in an airtight container (jars like Mason jars, and steel and tin cans). Canning provides a shelf life that typically ranges from one to five years, although under specific circumstances, it can be much longer. A freeze-dried canned product, such as canned dried lentils, could last as long as 30 years in an edible state.
Fishes play a crucial role in the Bangladesh diet, and fish supply in Bangladesh meets 60% of the domestic animal protein consumption. The fishery is an important industry in Bangladesh that contributes 4.39% to the GDP, 23.00% to the agricultural GDP, and 6% of the total export value.
Canning in a new process for the people of Bangladesh. Most of the people of Bangladesh don't familiar with that process canning. Most of the village people or even the city people like to eat fish-catching from the river and canal. Canning is not a familiar process in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh has a huge number of people, to fill up the demand of the people is not easy. Because fish is a perishable food. If we preserve fish in the canning process, it will easy to supply fish. Recently tomatoes, peas, corns, beverages are sold by canning. Like that, if we sell fishes to the market, we can easily test any type of fish. Canning saves our time to cook.
Advantages of Canning which proves that canning foods are safe and healthy. Canning alters food chemically by changing the moisture, pH, or salinity levels to protect against microbes, bacteria, mold, and yeast. It also limits food enzyme activity. Combining these chemical processes with the physical barriers of glass jars, seals, and lids effectively prevents decay.
Thus people are buying agricultural canning food, they may prefer the canning fish. Today people try to save time in cooking. So canning is a good choice for them. At last, I want to say that the canning industry is required to established in Bangladesh.
